Don’t be deceived by the name. Shoe repair is so much more than just shoes.
Sure, the term “shoe repair” has some strong roots in shoes. The definition of a cobbler is, after all, “one who mends shoes”, and it was the advent of shoes that gave cobblers their gig.
But a cobbler these days is infinitely more than just “shoe” repair, even though we do specialize in shoes like high heels, sneakers, and loafers. We’re also experts in boot repair, from western boots and equestrian boots to hiking boots, combat boots, and booties. And don’t forget bag repair. Cobblers fix purses, handbags, backpacks, luggage, and more. We also repair specialty shoes, like driving shoes and boat shoes. A cobbler can even repair wallets, belts, horse saddles and baseball gloves!
Here are some of the most common repairs we see at The Cobbler:
· Women’s high heel repair
· Men’s dress shoe repair
· Purse repair
· Fashion boot repair
· Western boot repair
· Sandal repair
· Work boot repair
· Sneaker repair
· Luggage repair
· Belt repair
Oftentimes, we’ll even have people bring in family heirlooms into The Cobbler for repair as well. You just never know what you’re going to see come in during a day in the life of an experienced cobbler.
So now you know. The next time you drive by The Cobbler, just remember that a cobbler's mad repair skills go way beyond what you might think!
